Meet Your Engineer

My name is Jack.

Music has been a huge part of who I am for as long as I can remember. When I'm not mixing, I'm on stage behind a drum set. I was introduced to the instrument at a young age and loved it so much I quite literally built my first set out of pots, pans, a frisbee golf net and whatever else I could find at home. This passion for playing music quickly turned into a deep curiosity for understanding how music is made, from initial recording to final release. I ended up running the audio engineering club at my high school and later leading the unofficial AES chapter at the University of Nevada, Reno.

These days I primarily work in live sound and do mixing and mastering client work remotely. In the studio I've worked with artists across six continents and have dozens of released songs out on all the major streaming platforms. On the live side I've worked shows for Wiz Khalifa, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Josh Turner, Saliva, Foreigner, Souls of Mischief, and Jakob Nowell, to name a few.

Mixing live shows most nights of the week has had a huge impact on how I mix in the studio. What's unique about my work is that I approach a project with the intention of preserving the MOMENT the music was recorded and accentuating the FEELING that inspired the songwriting in the first place. Just as every show has a specific and unique energy to it, every studio session does as well. My mission is to not only accurately convey that energy to listeners but to truly immerse them in the moment that your art was created.
